Haha-co. calendar in Tohoku

I was approached by a member of Haha-co, an association for mothers and daughters, to create their calendar.

The photos we used for the calendar are of a family from the Tohoku region in Japan, who is slowly rebuilding their home after it was destroyed by the tsunami in March 2011.

I used uneven photo frames to convey the idea of construction and slow progression.
